Grosset Spring Vale Clare Valley Watervale Riesling 2010: 喜歡Riesling 的朋友都應該知道澳洲Clare valley 同 Eden Valley 都是新世界RIESLING的著名產區, 並且有著相當的陳年能力. 在上WSET LV3 時, 什至說高級的 Clare Riesling 可有十多年的陳年能力, 而白酒可以陳年靠的是酸度, 及結構, 一支白酒, 什至甜酒, 汽酒, 沒有足夠的酸度, 是不大可能陳年陳得好的. CLARE 同EDEN 兩個區的RIESLING 都酸度充足, 加上氣候相對德國較暖的情況下, 葡萄較成熟, 品質都相當不錯.
今日分享的是著名的Grosset 酒莊, 除了一系列不同莊園生產的的RIESLING外, 還有紅酒GAJA. 當中GROSSET的代表作POLISH HILL 更是澳洲Langton’s Classification V中, 近年升上最高級的EXCEPTIONAL, 是唯一一支RIESLING 上了EXCEPTIONAL....質素不容置疑..
這支Spring Vale Riesling 有著輕微的青草, 青蘋果, 桃, CITRUS, 奇異果, 什至後來有點菠蘿的熱帶果味, 更奇的是有點牛油CREAMY 的CHARDONNAY 感覺, 不過這支酒還沒發展出澳洲RIESLING 著名的早有的電油味, 比較像舊世界酒的了. 入口是CITRUS, 蘋果, 桃的結合, 有鮮明的酸度, 中度酒體, 配上RIESLING 引人的礦物感, AFTER TASTE 在礦物感的影響下, 表現得比較長, 是一支會追酒飲的RIESLING.......配海鮮會是個PERFECT MATCH!
Blackberry, Cherry, Plum, Vanilla, Pepper, Oak, ...
A Chilean Bodeaux style blend with 20% of Carmenere. Deep ruby colour with obvious tears. Nice nose of vanilla, chocolate, ripe dark cherry, plum, blueberry, black currant, sweet spice, pepper, some corns and wood favor in the end. So many favor we find from this wine, and i am the luckiest one to feel the more nice aroma in my glasses. Palate is round with soft but chewing tannin, medium bodied, with elegant aromatic finishing, years cellaring will develop the wine more. It is really nice to drink now too.

2nd wine of Cos de Estournel. With the medium ruby colour, aroma of black cherry, black currant, violet, tobacco, cedar (wood). Tannin still a bit rough, it shows some aging potential, but i don't think it will develop a lot. There is structure of cab, and the the softness of merlot, it is nice to try a 2nd wine from famous chateau

Powerful wine, ruby red. Vanilla, chocolate, black fruit, wood in nose, need at least 3 hours decanting for the nice aromas. From acidity to sweetness, made this wine fantastic. Explosive wine, nice complexity and long finish. Encore!

Perrier Jouet Grand Brut NV: Light pale lemon in colour, with clean and nice citrus fruit, yeast, toast, sometimes honey on the nose, not explosive but consistent. Palate with a high acidity, crispy and refreshing bubble. A medium lenght finishing with quite obvious yeast character. Nice to try, but too many yeast i feel.
Schild Estate Shiraz 2008

Aroma of black currant, pepper, red meat, with a hint of toffee and plum. Very strong, jammy and salty after taste

Dark ruby red and very nice tears on the glass. With a super nose of toasty oak, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and blue berry, fantastic, elegant and soft aromas. Full-bodied and strong finishing on throat. Very nice Bordeaux blend style form Chile.

Cocha Y Toro, 作為智利的大型葡萄酒品牌, 其產品價錢大眾化, 質素卻一點都不失禮. 這支Terrunyo Block 27 Carmenere,性價比高! 質素不算得上頂級, 但已經很好的反映智利Carmenere風格, 見以下TN. 抵飲之作.
Cocha Y Toro Terrunyo Block 27 Camenere 2007: Clear deep ruby colour, with a ruby rim, and it got heavy pale ruby legs! So thick in body.
On the nose, it is clean, a medium plus intensity of sweet bell pepper, corn, ripe dark plum, black berry, cedar, spices, vanilla, espresso, a little bit smoky. It should be still developing, but almost peak.
On the palate, it is dry with medium acidity, medium plus ripe tannin, medium plus alcohol, and full body. It has a pronounced favour intensity of ripe plum, espresso, sweet spice, chocolate. A bit too full in body, make the texture unclear, but it has a long finishing.
It is a very good wine, can drink now, but has potential ; for ageing. Camenere from Chile. High priced. (retail) SL: 93. Almost the best time to drink.

Paul Jaboulet Aine Les Cedres Chateauneuf Du Pape 2007: Medium to deep ruby colour. With pronounced spices,peper, meaty, smoke and some blackberry, cherry favor. The bottle is not breathe enough which lead to limited aroma released. Palate is spicy, dry and rough, because of the tannin. Quite tannic at all, it will be benefited for more years cellaring

Newton Unfiltered Chardonnay 2007: Medium yellow with nice intensity. Nose of pineapple, tropical fruit, cream, butter, toffee, cinnamon and caramel. Very match with it full bodied palate with pineapple but milky and buttery finish. A firm structure with nice acidity to make it balance. A very nice creamy white wine!!!
Royal Tokaji 6 Puttonyos 2005

Medium amber colour. With a nice and pronounced nose of honey, saffron, raisin, apricot, maybe some caramel, and jam. what an attractive nose!!! A nice sweetness with acidity to show the balance. Very intense compare with South African Klein Constantia sweet wine. And a nice citrus like finishing. I don't know how to rate this wine.
Ayala Blanc de Blanc Brut 2002

A 2002 vintage blanc de blanc champagne which is still very energetic, and fresh! Pale golden yellow, with nice bubbles. Nose of pineapple, citrus, lemon, toast, butter, with nice fruity acidity and mineral finishing, but you can feel the thick body of the wine, and round, fresh finishing. Will bring you difference after a decade cellaring. A nice vintage champagne.
Chateau Dauzac 2000

Margaux 區的酒, 以優雅見稱, 優雅對於喜歡澎湃的人仕來說, 就是不夠力, 口感偏淡吧.
同樣是半支裝, 在同一個地方買, 這是好年Dauzac 顯現出一支比較有力的 Margaux, 香氣來說也是cream de cassis, vanilla oak為主, 輔以少許的forest floor的泥土氣息 及少許violet, 花香味不是太明顯, 相信是好年份的果味比較突出的原故.
口感是中酸度, 單寧柔和, 份量也只是中等左右, 這支2000 Dauzac口中有更lively的酸度, 仍有活力, 吸引人的, 雖然柔和, 但不失細節, 充分反映Margaux 區風格.
